newroots.org/fifty-for-50/Did you know over 120,000 people in Louisville do NOT have access to fresh food? When we discovered that, we knew we had to act.
Last fall, I attended a "Food Insufficiency in a Foodie City" panel event hosted by Insider Louisville. One connection led to another, and soon the amazing Karyn Moskowitz and I were talking about how small and micro-businesses in the Louisville area could help.
Well, today we launched that campaign and I invite you to join us in addressing Louisville's food justice movement. You can donate here: Fifty for 50.
Businesses donating $50 per month receive a "Beet Certified" badge to use on their website and other communications, and a mention on our New Roots Fifty for 50 contributors page with a link back to their website.
More importantly, you will be supporting local farmers who grow wholesome, organic produce, and ensure four fellow citizens have access to fresh, locally grown nutritious veggies.
